One of the first things that struck me when I arrived at LSBU and spoke to our wide network of practitioners from the business, social and public sectors was that we were in the midst of great changes to how services to the public were going to be delivered.

It was striking that our post graduate student cohort, particularly those studying in the professional subject areas were evenly spread across the business, public and social sectors. This brought a much appreciated richness and the sharing of experience and values.

Building on this experience and the views of our external stakeholders it became clear that there was the need for a space where cross sector collaboration and understanding could be nurtured, developed, delivered and practised. This has eventually led to the creation of Collaborate. I am delighted and feel very privileged personally and for the University to be a part of this initiative alongside a great team of partners contributing their time, enthusiasm and organisational capabilities.”
